The Competition

Annual Case Competition

Georgetown University's MBA Tech Club is proud to host its annual case competition with our friends at IBM. This year's case will focus on digital strategy, and we welcome MBA students from around the country to participate. Each team must consist of 4-5 members, and all participants must be current MBA students. The competition will be split into two rounds and the registration will stay open till March 26, 2018.

First Round:

  • Opens on March 7, 2018

  • Teams will formulate a recommendation and pitch their idea to a situation via a 5 minute (maximum) digital video submission (YouTube, Vimeo etc.)

  • Teams will share the URL of the video on mba-git@georgetown.edu

  • Teams will have each participating member represented in the video

  • Teams are requested to maintain the anonymity of school in team name, presentation, and attire since this is important for making an unbiased judgement

  • Submit your final video entry by 26th March 5:00 PM EST

  • The top 8 teams as determined by the judges will advance to the final round

  • Results will be announced in the first week of April

Final Round:

  • Teams will be provided with a final prompt in April first week

  • Presentations will be held at Georgetown University on 20th April

  • Each of the eight finalists will give a 15 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute Q&A
